A space for slowing down and listening deeply — where sound becomes a pathway into awareness, reflection, and emotional clarity. The soundtrack of your life, guided by a lifelong musician.
Music is a universal language that connects people to themselves and each other. It gives voice to the unexpressed parts of us and meets us where we are. Sanctuary Sounds exists because music and healing go hand in hand.
Harmony is a wholistic experience — consonance and dissonance, tension and release. My groups are about skillfully integrating both, non-judgmentally. In a session, we're listening for the story a piece of music is telling us about ourselves. This gives us a depth and dimension worth exploring.
The intention is simple — to regulate our experience through music, effortlessly. Not fixing. Not solving. Just listening, noticing, and allowing ourselves the opportunity to choose where we will go.
An hour built around guided prompts — mindful listening and reflection that surface what's living beneath the surface. Includes tools and frameworks to support ongoing growth.
A small, supportive circle guided by a shared prompt — using music as a pathway to deeper awareness and personal insight. Kept intimate, four participants at most, to protect real connection.
Everything in a 1:1, plus a personalized guided meditation we build together — rooted in your own imagery, words, and musical inspiration. Yours to return to long after the session ends.
Sanctuary Sounds is a reflective, wellness-based practice — not therapy, counseling, or a substitute for licensed mental health care. Self-pay; not billed through insurance.
Not quotes — patterns. What's below reflects recurring themes across hundreds of sessions. Common threads that tie together real client experiences in mindfulness music and the core values of Sanctuary Sounds.
Weekly guided music sessions supporting Wellness Recovery Center's narrative therapy foundation — using sound to help participants reconnect with their own story, one present moment at a time.
Weekly sessions using guided music listening to build present-moment awareness and nervous system regulation, rooted in DBT's mindfulness and distress tolerance skills. Over time, participants build a felt sense of their own internal states — and tools to return to it, in session and beyond.
Designed and delivered an 8-week music mindfulness curriculum aligned to DBT skill modules, in direct collaboration with therapists and case managers.
Founded and operate this telehealth practice, built around individual sessions for emotional regulation, stress reduction, and present-moment awareness.
A note for clinical teams, programs, and organizations considering music-based mindfulness as part of care.
A bridge between clinical work and existing client skills, I offer program-aligned mindfulness music groups and 1:1's that support client and program goals. My sessions are built from real clinical experience and methodology of music as a tool for healing. I currently facilitate music groups inside outpatient and residential programs, working alongside therapists, case managers, and clinical staff. My goal is to reinforce the skills already being taught in your program, with music as a middle ground for transformation.
Music doesn't replace CBT, DBT, or narrative therapy — it gives clients a non-verbal way into the same skills: present-moment awareness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation. For clients who struggle to access those skills through talk alone, sound is often the door that opens first. Sessions can be structured around your existing framework or run as a standing weekly group.
Music bypasses the need for language before insight — it meets people where verbal processing hasn't landed yet. It's naturally group-cohesive, culturally flexible, and requires no musical background to participate meaningfully — which lowers the barrier for clients who feel othered by more clinical-feeling modalities.
